Over the summer, Nel has been working on The Serpent’s Lust, the snake dance that leads up to the grand finale in our show. The sensual, passionate snake dance is all about female lust, inspired by the original story in ‘Tales of Moonlight and Rain’. A beautiful aristocratic lady seduces a young man and reveals herself as a demon snake, begging for his attention. The squirming melody is structured into a larger whole. It’ll be a coil of a song that seduces the audience.
ABOUT THIS JOURNAL
This digital journal chronicles the creation process of the musical experience ‘On Moonlight and Rain’, from its inception to the premiere on May 18th 2017. Rather than recounting a hero story, with an uninterrupted string of hooray messages, we’d like to show you what it’s really like to put a big music show together. It involves many dead ends, failures, frustrations and a tremendous amount of confidence that all will be well in the end. Enjoy your read.
